Neopost’s business has a relatively low impact on the environment. But it is important to the Group to reduce this impact as much as possible.
Neopost is thus committed to designing innovative solutions in an environmentally sustainable way.
Neopost is seeking to have internationally recognised labels awarded to its products. In October 2005, the Group received authorisation to use the Energy Star label around the world for its entire digital franking machine range. Energy Star, an American government program, encourages corporations and individuals to protect the environment through initiatives aimed at saving energy.
Neopost’s new digital mailing machines use ink cartridges. In 2005, Neopost undertook to introduce a collection and recycling system for used cartridges. The Group will subcontract this operation to specialist service providers to be selected by neopost’s distribution subsidiary in each country.
The selection of suppliers and subcontractors is crucial for Neopost, whose objective is to develop real long-term partnerships with them. The Group imposes high standards of itself and is equally demanding on its main suppliers, requesting them to have ISO 14001 certification.
